"In Between Moods" will be #12 on the next CMJ Jazz Chart, Issue 1135 of CMJ's New Music Report Magazine to be published in a few weeks. The album marks the debut of Canadian-born pianist and composer Tony Foster, and mixes up some inspired Foster originals with some cover tunes (where Foster pays tribute to some of his influences like Oscar Peterson and Ahmad Jamal) to create several different moods on the album.

TONIC on CBC Radio 2
The weekend host of CBC Radio's "Tonic" show, Tim Tamashiro (which airs on CBC Radio 2 from Monday to Sunday at 8pm (8:30 NT) named "In Between Moods" to his list of the "Top 10 albums of 2009"!

Due to much more radio airplay across North America, "In Between Moods" returns to the JazzWeek charts next week at #48!!! In addition, the album continues to move up the CMJ radio charts: up to #15 on CMJ Jazz Chart (Issue 1132)!

Went and checked out the Monty Alexander trio last night at Jazz Alley in Seattle....sounded great!!...I'm a longtime fan of Monty's playing and he's been a key influence for me....was great to see him still swingin hard, and his trio sounded great---George Fludas on drums and Lorin Cohen on bass.....Cohen and Fludas did a great job of jumping on whatever Monty played...
